Photography has been part of my life at a very early age, when I began as an amateur astrophotographer and developed film in the high school Photo Club darkroom. At 14, I captured an image of a Marine jet crashing off Huntington Beach— the pilot ejected safely, and the image appeared on the front page of the OC Register. That experience set me on a lifelong path behind the camera.
Since then, my images have appeared online as well as newspapers, magazines, books, calendars, museum stores, and abroad. I bought my first professional digital camera in 2000, honed my skills alongside Riverside photographer John Cruz, and soon began photographing mostly local events, portraits, private clients, and professional offices. My work has also been featured in a variety of local publications over many years, including the Press Enterprise and Raincross Gazette.
Riverside has been my home since 1974, and Mt. Rubidoux in particular has shaped much of my work. Over 25 years of daily walks with a camera in hand, I’ve built a visual record of its trails and views—an ongoing project that reflects my ties to the community.
A member of the Professional Photographers of America, I continue to shoot for publications, private events, and special projects, always with the goal of capturing the people and places that matter.
